Payment Policy

Accepted Payment Methods

Digital Payments:

  • Mobile Money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo)
  • Bank Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS)
  • Digital Wallets (ZeePay, G-Money)

Traditional Payment Methods:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Direct Bank Deposit
  • Cash on Delivery (subject to eligibility)

Transaction Security

  • All digital payments are processed through secure, encrypted platforms.
  • tonatua implements industry-standard SSL encryption for all transactions.
  • We comply with the Bank of Ghana's cybersecurity directives and PCI DSS standards.
  • Customer payment information is never stored on our servers.

Payment Terms Online Purchases

  • Full payment may be required at the time of order placement.
  • Orders are not processed until payment confirmation is received.
  • Payment validation may take up to 1 business day for certain payment methods.

Cash on Delivery

  • Available for orders under GH₵2,000.
  • Valid ID required at delivery.
  • Only exact amount accepted - delivery agents do not carry change.
  • Service charge will be applied separately.

Currency and Pricing

  • All prices are listed in Ghana Cedis (GH₵).
  • International customers may view prices in USD but will be charged in GH₵.
  • Exchange rates are updated daily according to Bank of Ghana rates.
  • Prices include VAT and other applicable taxes.

Payment Confirmation

Customers will receive:

  • Immediate payment confirmation via email.
  • SMS notification of successful payment.
  • Digital receipt for their records.
  • Transaction reference number.

Refunds and Cancellations

Refund Methods:

  • Refunds will be processed through the original payment method.
  • Processing time: 3-7 business days for digital payments.
  • Bank transfers may take 5-10 business days.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Orders can be cancelled before shipping for a full refund.
  • Cancellation fees may apply after shipping initiation.
  • Partial cancellations available for multiple-item orders.

Failed Payments

In case of payment failure:

  • Customer will be notified immediately.
  • Order will be held for 24 hours.
  • Alternative payment methods can be arranged.
  • After 24 hours, items will be released back to inventory.

Installment Payments

Available for purchases over GH₵5,000:

  • Initial deposit of 40% required.
  • Maximum 3-month payment plan may be accepted.
  • Monthly installments processed automatically.
  • Service charge of 5% applies.

Dispute Resolution

For payment disputes:

  • Submit claim within 30 days of transaction.
  • Provide transaction reference number.
  • Include relevant documentation.
  • Resolution within 14 business days.

Business Account Payments

For registered businesses:

  • Credit terms available upon approval.
  • Net 30 payment terms for qualified accounts.
  • Bulk purchase discounts available.
  • Monthly invoicing option.
